Porter, of Gisborne, and the late Rev. Alexander Porter, of Marton, took place on Saturday evening at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera. Canon R. L. Connolly officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of magnolia satin, simply cut on classical lines, with a high cowl neckline, Empire bodice and full train. A -coronet of orange-blossom held in place her heavily embroidered veil and she carried a bouquet of; freesias, carnations and houvardia. In attendance on the bride were her ! sister, Miss Jean Wade, wearing a frock of can de nil georgette with nn embroidered bolero, Mrs Gerald Grace, of Hamilton, wearing a similar frock and bolero jn turquoise blue, and Miss Eleanor Nelson, cousin of the bride, in a frock of cream satin made on similar lines to that of the bride.
