FOUR SPECIAL TRAINS

TIMES OF ARRIVAL Four special trains carrying Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force men and some airmen who hare returned to New Zealand in the liners Strathmore and Dominion Monarch are due .to arrive in Auckland today from Wellington. Three of the trains are expected this morning and the other early this afternoon.

The morning trains, which will carry men from the Strathmore, are due to arrive at the Auckland railway station at 7.36, 8.13 and 9,50. The first train will carry 217 men for the Auckland city area whose surnames start with the letters A to G, and 174 men lor North Auckland. On the second train will be 421 Auckland men whose surnames start, with the letters H to Z inclusive, and the third train will carry 105 South Auckland men for stations up to Otahuhu. This train is not expected to have any Auckland city men. The train with the men from the Dominion Monarch is due to arrive at 1.30 this afternoon. It will have 53 men for Auckland, 187 for North Auckland and 22 for South Auckland. Arrangements similar to those which have operated in the past will be carried out to facilitate the quick despatch of the men to their homes. The Army, the Red Cross Transport Corps and the Commercial Travellers' Club will provide transport for the Auckland men, and the Army and Red Cross will also provide vehicles to meet the trains at Pukekohe, I'apakura. Manurewa. Papatoe toe and Otahuhu. The North Auckland men who arrive thi.s morning will-he taken to the transit camp at .Mechanics' May for a meal and will leave on a special train at 9.15. Those arriving in the afternoon will be taken north by motor transport after they have had a meal.

Carrying 575 New Zealand airmen, the Wahine is expected to arrive at Auckland tomorrow. A reception to the men will he held on board the ship, and they will later be taken to their homes.
