CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS YOUNG WINS AT TITIRANGI Golf competitions were conducted in tine weather'during the week-end. The Titiranei club's senior Victory championship was won by J. U. Young, whose figures for the round were To, or four under the scratch score. The championships of the Auckland and Akarana clubs were also commenced. | VARIOUS CLUB FUNCTIONS Campbell Park.—Mr S. A. Cleal, president of the Auckland Association, and Mrs Cleal were welcomed by the club president, Mr Harris. Mr Cieal outlined the season's programme and made special reference to the manner in which Juniors were to be catered for, afterward presenting trophies won at last season's club handicap tournament. The president's wife, Mrs Harris, served the first ball and the progressive tournament was won by J. E. Beachen and Miss Reynolds. Walata.—The official party was welcomed by Mr C. McCnllough, chairman of the Mouut Roskill Road Board, and the club president. Mr H. Priestley. Mrs Meyer, lady club captain, served the first ball. Tho winners of the progressive tournament were Millar and Mrs iA. Thompson.

Mount Edon.—Over 100 persons were present, including Mr Jamieson, Western Suburbs Association president, and representatives from other clubs. Mr K. N. Buttle spoke for the association, while Mr A. C. Johns (patron) represented the Mount Eden Borough Council as deputy-mayor. Mr W. S. Burns, club president, extended a warm welcome to returning members from overseas. Mrs I Rowc lady club captain and life-member, served the first ball. Tho progressive tournament, in which more than 80 players took part, was won by D. Butler (48) and Mrs J. 11. Franks (47).

Nicholson Park.—The official party, consisting of Messrs. A. C. Johns, K. N.' Buttle and J. A. Fernandez, were welcomed by Mr R. Savoury and Mr R. Wells (president) and his wife.
