SYNAGOGUE WEDDING BOOKMAN-MELTZER The wedding of Miss Jewel Meltzer, eider daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Meltzer, of Omana Avenue, Epsom, to Mr Percival L. Bookman, younger son of Mr and Mrs D. Bookman, of Wellington, took place on Wednesday evening at the Synagogue, Princes Street. The Rev. A. A star officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of off-white satin with a fitting bodice inset with a georgette yoke appliqued in satin. Her full skirt was fashioned to form a short train and over it fell her tulle veil. The bride's head-dress was of white hyacinths to match her bouquet. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Shirlev Meltzer, cousin of the bride, Miss Natalie Meltzor, sister of the bride, and Miss Juliette Freeman, another cousin. They wore frocks of turquoise marquisette and head sprays of pale pink hyacinths. Their bouquets were of the same flowers. The bridegroom was attended by hie brother, Mr Bernard Bookman, aft best man, and by Messrs Arnold Triester (Wellington) and Morris Bookman, as groomsmen. Following the ' ceremony a reception was held in the Farmers' Reception Lounge. MAEEIED IN TARANAKI GALLY—BOSSON The Anglican Church, Mangatoki, Taranaki, was the scene of the wedding on August 29 of Miss Cynthia Bosson, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Bosson, of Matapu, Taranaki, to Private Raymond Gaily, returned prisoner of' war, younger son of Mrs and the late Mr Arthur Gallv, of Mount Eden. The Bev. Walker officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming honey gold frock and a small Tuscan hat. Sbc carried a bouquet of camellias and daffodils. The matron of honour, Mrs Elsie McKenzie, sister of the bridegroom, wore a dress of powder blue and a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pale pink rhododendrons and cactus. The bridegroom was attended by the brother of the bride, Mr Marc Bosson, as best man.
