PRESS COLUMN RESUMED
NEW YORK, April 17 Mrs Roosevelt today resumed hor column, "My Day," which was interrupted by her husband's death. "When you have lived for a long time in close contact with the loss and grief which pervade the world," Mrs Roosevelt wrote, "any personal sorrow seerns lost in the general sadness of humanity. Ihere is only one way in which we can repay the dead who have given their utmost for the cause of liberty and justice. They died in the hope that, through their sacrifice, enduring peace would be built and a more just world emerge for humanity. "Any man in public life is.hound in the course of years to create certain enmities, but when lie is gone his main objectives stand out clearly, and one may hope that the spirit of unity will evoke determination to achieve ' those objectives." SCOTTISH POWER PLAN LONDON, April 18 An important hydro-electric project to attract_ industries to the Scottish highlands is announced today. Tt is to develop the waters of a loch in Rossshire and will cost £1,000.000. The plan awaits confirmation bv the Secretary of Scotland. Mr Tom' Johnston. The authorities responsible, the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board, have other schemes operating from Fort William to Inverness and beyond.
