FORECAST FOR AUCKLAND CLOUDY, WITH RAIN LIKELY The Government meteorologist issued to the Herald last evening the following forecast for the Auckland Province:—General situation: A deep depression is passing south of the South Island. There is a shallow depression over the North Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate to fresh north-easterly winds; weather cloudy, with scattered rain developing slowly from the north; temperatures' mild. Further outlook: Unsettled.
