WELCOME TO SEAMEN Thev could never properly repay the debt they owed to the men of the sea, said Bishop Liston, in inaugurating a series of functions to be held during the Christmas and New Year season at the Apostleship of the Sea rooms in Swanson Street on Wednesday night. There was always a warm welcome to the men of all services to the rooms, and they were invited to make them their home while in Auckland. Each tnan received a present from the Apostolato during the evening, and a classical ballet was performed by nine members of the Star of the Sea Guild under the leadership of Miss Betty Grace. The special festivities will be continued during the holiday season.
