iIRMEN AND SOLDIERS CAREERS OF AUCKLANDERS Reported killed on active service, Flying-Officer Ivan William Cain, who nspromoted from the rank of warrantofficer shortly before his death, was the only sou of Mr and Mrs W. Cain, of 656 tainion Road, Balmoral. He was aged 20and was educated at Kowhai School, Auckland Grammar School and Seddon Memorial Technical College. He enlisted in 1942 at the age of 18 and left for England in January, 1943, as a ser-geant-pilot. He was posted to the Coastal Gommand and served in fighters.

j t Pilot-Officer G. Trevor Parker, who (■reported missing, believed killed, is Its Husband of Airs I. Parker, of 19 "fange Road, Mount Eden, and the only son of Mr and Mrs G. W. Parker, pfiol St. Andrew's Road, Epsom. He "aged 29 and wa.s educated at the Auckland Grammar School and played Jlgby football for Grammar Old .Boys. J gained his commission last July on active service in the Pacific.
