RANGIORA MEETING TRIAL PLATE DIVISIONS (0.C.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday Rout's rehandicap in the Hororata Hack Handicap at the North Canterbury Racing Club'* Annual Meeting at Kangiora on Monday was omitted from the acceptances, his weight being raised from 8.11 to 0.1. Similarly Weld Cona's weight in the High-weight Hack Handicap should be 9.11 and not 9.0, and in the Amberley Hack Handicap 8.12. Saint Joachim was rehandicapped from 7.11 to 8.5 iu the Hororata Hack Handicap following his win at Washdyke, but he wa6 not liable to a rehandicap. The conditions of the North Canterbury programme provided that the winner of any handicap after the declaration of the weights could be rehandicapped, but the Spring Stakes, won by Saint Joachim, was a set-weight race and not a Handicap. The Trial Plate at the North Canterbury Racing Club's Annual Meeting on Monday has 2(1 acceptors and as the safety-limit at the six-fiirlong post is 11), provision has been made for two divisions as follows: TRIAL PLATE, of £l5O, 6 fur.—First Division: Baffling, Centime, Dawn Attack, Fortitude, King Burn, Lady Law, Lawless, Miss Molly, My Sonnet, Racket, Siegwootl, Sir Tague, Tikakoura, 8.7. Second Division: Cataract, Cinderella. Drummer Boy, Good Friend, Koa Manu, Lalla Meer, Leighmond, Miss Myra, Peculate, Ration, Simon Tor, Surama, Twelve Pointer, 8.7. Brackets: Sir Tague and Surama, Tikakoura and Twelve Pointer, 8.7. GIVING AWAY TIME POSITION OF RARA AVIS The trotters Castigate, Casabianca and Rara Avis are engaged iu both the Waitemata Handicap, limit 3.15, and the Mountain Handicap, limit 4.1!), at Epsom today. In the Mountain Handicap all are giving away time. Success for either Castigate, who is on 1.52, or Cnsabijinca, who is on 4.55, in the Wailemata Handicap would bring the winner into line for the Mountain Handicap. If unsuccessful today Costigate and Casablanca will be handily placed in the Green Lane Handicap, limit 4.•">(>. on Monday. With Rara Avis the position is entirely different, as he is assessed on 3.40 for a mile and a-half and 5.3 for two miles. Even if successful in the Waitemala Handicap Rara Avis would be a long way beyond the 4.4 H limit of the Mountain Handicap.
