TRIBUTE TO WORKERS
HAMILTON PATRIOTIC HUT (0.C.) HAMILTON, Friday The second anniversary of the opening of the Hamilton Patriotic Hut was marked by a birthday party, when several hundred voluntary workers were entertained by the management committee. Since the opening of the hut two years ago, 28,000 meals have been served, and 22,000 beds have been provided for servicemen The moderate charges made have been sufficient to cover the costs, and each year ended .'ith a small credit balance In thanking the voluntary workers lor their splendid assistance, the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro, stated that the Patriotic Council had been asked to contribute nothing toward the cost of running the hut since it was built.
