ROOMS AT HOME ABLAZE ; FIRE CAUSED BY IRON (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH,. Tuesday A resident of Ranfurly Street, St. Albans, Miss Margaret Hilda , Redraayne, aped about 60, was found dead when a fireman of the Christehurch Central Fire Brigade entered burning rooms at her home at about six o'clock this evening. Miss Redmayne was lying on the floor beside a table where apparently she. had been ironing. The iron had burned through the. table and set fire to a carpet, the "flames spreading to wall hangings. The fire was extinguished without difficulty and it was found that parts of the ironing blanket had fallen on Miss Redmayne. burning her arm and leg. It is believed she collapsed while ironing.
