AUCKLAND CENTRE SINGLES The annual open singles championship conducted by the Auckland Bowling ..Centre was commenced yesterday on II club greens The weather was ideal for the competitors, who numbered 238. The greens on the whole were in good order and there was an absence of Strong wind. Those qualifying in the 34 lections numbered 66. of whom 16 went through without defeat and will go forward with two lives Forty-five players had one loss only, while five players who tied in section 5 with 3 wins each will go forward to inter-section play with one life.
