DUKE'S SISTER WEDS DOMINION VISIT RECALLED A wedding of interest to New Zealanders took place recently in England in the private chapel of Arundel Castle, when Lady Winifride Fitzalan-Howard, sister of England's premier duke, the Duke ol Norlolk, was married to Major John Edward Broke Freeman. In November. 1937, the bride visited New Zealand with her mother, the Dowager Duchess of Norfolk. Arriving in Auckland by the Aorangi, they were met hv the Lady Evelyn Drummoml. wife of Hoar-Admiral the Hon. E. H. Driimmond. then commodore commanding the Now Zealand Division of the Koyal Navy. As Hear-Admiral Drummoiid was in Christohurch when the visitors arrived, they wore the guests of the l.adv Evelyn at her home in Gilgit Hoad, Epsom, before going on to Wellington to Ntay with Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, and Lady Galwav at Government House. Their next visit was to Marlborough, where tho Dowager Duchess had a cousin, the late Mr. H. 1). Vavasour, of Ugbrooke. They completed a tour of New Zealand before returning to England. SERVICE WEDDING SPORTING FAMILIES UNITED Members of two sporting families wore married at St. Paul's Church, Devonport, 011 Saturday evening. They were Gunner J. J. Campbell, of Green Lane, who is home 011 furlough, and Miss Wilma Stirling, of Devon port, who is serving in the W.A.A.F. Gunner Campbell was a member of the New Zealand Rugby League team which went to England in HK!9, and the bride's brother. Gunner I. Stirling, now a prisoner of

war in Germany, was also a member of tlie same team. The bride was junior swimming champion of Whangarei High School, and later intermediate champion of the Seddon Memorial Technical College, Her sister, Dulcie, was a New Zealand hockey representative.
