TIMARU MEETING ' ,THE LIKELY FAVOURITES The South Canterbury Jockey Club's !Autumn Meeting will be held at Timaru to-day. Good fields are engaged and provision has been made for divisions in the Electric Stakes, in which the acceptors exceed th e safety limit by eight. The principal races will be the Timaru Cup and the Doncaster Handicap. The betting will be under the win and place system.
