BOY KILLED
COMPANION INJURED COLLISION WHEN CYCLING A boy suffered injuries from which he later died and another lad was seriously injured when the bicycle on which they were both riding was involved in a collision with a motor-truck at the intersection of Augustus Terrace and Parnell Rise shortly before five o'clock yesterday afternoon. The victim was Keith Richmond Ryan, aged 12, son of Mrs. Dorothy Ryan, of 14 Fox Street, Parnell, who suffered concussion and a fractured thigh. The other boy, Roy Charles Green, aged 11, grandson of C. F. Green, of 10 Fox Street, Parnell, suffered concussion and fractured an arm.
The two boys were riding a bicycle down Augustus Terrace, and the truck, owned by Mr. J. S. Herring, carrier, of Morningside, was travelling up Parti ell Rise. The injured lad is in the Auckland Hospital.
