TRAINING AT EPSOM TRIALS ON THE GRASS BY ABAYDOS The presence of horses from Canterbury, Waverley, Cambridge and Mangere gave added interest to the training on the course proper at Epsom yesterday. AUCKLAND TROTS GOOD CLASS IN HANDICAP BY ABAYDOS Good class pacers are listed for the Jellicoe Handicap and the Electric Handicap, the two principal races on the first day of the Auckland Trotting Club's Spring Meeting at Epsom on Saturday. DEATH OF TROTTER The trotter Hatrack is dead apd the pacers Burt .Scott and Bronze Eagle are in a critical condition as a result of sudden illness, siates a Press Association message from Christchurch. The three horses developed dangerous symptoms some time ago and it looked for a time as if Burt Scott and Bronze Eagle, who is a Trotting Cup candidate, would also succumb. Burt Scott has since shown improvement, and there are now signs that Bronze Eagle may recover, although both are still in a serious cMdition.
