LABOURER'S DEATH
An inquest into the death of a labourer, Mr. James O'Dwver, single, aged 40, in the Auckland Hospital on May 11, was held before Mr. F. K. Hunt, coroner, yesterday. Deceased was struck bv a motor-car in Symonds Street two days before. A verdict of death from injuries received was returned.
GAOL FOR WOMAN
Sentence of two months' imprisonment was imposed by Mr. J. Moriing, "S.M., yesterday on a domestic, Rita May Palmer, aged 22. Accused admitted a breach of probation for theft and a further charge of being idle and disorderlv.
