SOLDIERS KILLED
MANOEUVRES ACCIDENT
BREN CARRIER OVERTURNS (P.A.) MASTERTON, Tuesday Three soldiers were killed outright at liangitumau, near Masterton, yesterday afternoon, when a Bren carrier overturned on a hillside during manoeuvres. The victims were:— Thomas Reginald McKonzie, aged 20, of Clareville. Corporal Bruce Kilmister, aged 21, of Masterton, Private Glennister Fergus, aged 20, of Masterton. An inquest was opened and adjourned.
