EXPEDITIONARY FORCE TWO DEATHS REPORTED fP.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday Two deaths are reported in a Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force casualty list issued to-night. One man is wounded. The names are as follows : KILLED AS RESULT OF ACCIDENT Rickit, Thomas—Mrs C. J Rickit, Taupo (wife) DIED OF SICKNESS Biggar, William George (T.-Cpl.)—Mr. J. E Bicrsar, Helensville (father). WOUNDED Nelson, .James—Miss M. Nelson. Auckland (sister). AIRMAN REPORTED MISSING REPRESENTATIVE FOOTBALLER A Wellington representative footballer, Pilot-Officer William John Fulton, has been reported missing on operations. Son of Mrs. T. N. Fulton, of Paeroa, Pilot r Officer Fulton was born in Whangarei 25 years ago and educated at Paeroa. Before leaving for England in February last year he was

in the police force at Wellington, and captained the police athletic team which visited Australia in 1938. In addition to representing Wellington at football he played for the Thames Valley Union at the age of 16, and was selected for All Black trials, and for the South Island Services team as centre-threequarter. He has been flying .Wellington and Stirling bombers.

OBITUARY MRS. g: mitchelson The death has occurred at her residence, 7 Ridings Road, Remuera, of Mrs. Gertrude Mitchelson, aged 80, widow of the late Mr. Richard Mitchelson. Mrs. Mitchelson was the fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .James West-wood, who were among the first settlers of the Remuera district. After her marriage she spent some years in Dargaville, but, with the exception of a world tour undertaken about sixyears ago, all the rest of her life was spent in Remuera. Until she broke a. leg 18 months ago, she led a very active life, and from the accident she made a remarkable recovery. Mr. Mitchelson, who was a brother and business associate of the late Sir Edwin Mitchelson, died many years ago. Mrs. Mitchelson is survived by a stepdaughter and_ two sisters. . MRS. J. McLEOD The death has occurred of Mrs. Mary McLeod, of 11 Goring Road, bandringham. Mrs. McLeod was born in Auckland 79 years ago, and was the youngest daughter of the late MrJames Lye, who arrived in New Zealand on the William Bryant, the first s "ip to reach Taranaki. Mrs. McLeod spent all her life in Auckland, and was harried in 1883 to Mr. John McLeod. Sue is survived by her husband, two w ns and two daughters. PETITION by shooters (O 'C.) WELLINGTON, Friday A petition signed by 508 shooters the Wellington district asking the Acclimatisation Society to the Prime Minister, the Rt. %n. P.
