DROWNING OF YOUTHS
SEARCH FOR THE BODIES (0.C.) GREYMOXJTH, Wednesday It is now 11 days since two youths, Cornelius Werner and Robert McLagan, both aged 16, were drowned in the Clarke Biver, above Waipuna, and neither of the bodies has been found, although the coat of one of the youths was found this week in the Grey River, near Waipuna. The two youths were swept away while returning from a deer-stalking trip on April 4. Extensive searches have been made and it is now proposed to make a full examination of the river in small boats from Greymouth up to where the Clarke River joins the Grey River.
