SAFETY OF EXHIBITS
ACTION TAKEN AT MUSEUM It was reported at a meeting of the Auckland War Memorial Museum Council yesterday that 22 tons of material from the museum had been packed and moved to new premises for safety. The policy of the museum was one of dispersal, and specimens were divided among a special underground shelter and suburban and country buildings acquired for the purpose. Anything that was preserved in inflammable spirit had been boxed up and buried in a trench eight feet deep.
