ENGINEER'S SERVICES
RELEASE IN EMERGENCY (0.C.) WHANGAREI, Wednesday Regarding the Whangarei Borough Council's appeal for the retention of the Services of its engineer, Mr. I. A. Crombie, the Manpower Committee felt that Mr. Crombie's association' with the works company was vital and that he should be mobilised immediately, with the provision that in the event of a raid or a prospective raid at or near the town the council should have first call on his services, and that he be released immediately from the army and transported to Whangarei.
