Sir,— Sunday's broadcast on the coal, raining industry only applied to cojadi, tions existing in State-owned nu nes . The Huntly field is privately owned and the excellent housing conditions granted by the State to its mining employees are entirely absent at Huntly. Kothing is done by the private companies to facilitate the housing proh. Feins of their married employees, many having to keep two homes going. Surely it is time the State took ore? all these mines, so that the northeru miners jnay also reap the benefit of its humanitarian principles. / Glen Massey Minee.
