UNIT FROM SINGAPORE 153 NEW ZEALANDERS ARRIVAL IN AUSTRALIA INQUIRIES ABOUT OTHERS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Friday A further statement concerning the welfare of officers and airmen of the New Zealand aerodrome construction unit was made by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to-night. Official advice giving the names of personnel of this unit evacuated from Singapore to Australia has now been received at Air headquarters, Wellington, and urgent telegrams have' been sent to the next-of-kin.

Inquiries are being made as to the welfare of other New Zealanders who were at Singapore, and a statement will be made immediately further information is received. In the meantime, correspondence should be addressed care of Air Headquarters, Wellington. The following are the officers and airmen who have been successfully evacuated to Australia.
