NAVAL CASUALTIES MISSING AND WOUNDED [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday The following naval casualties were announced to-day:— Paterson, Robert Murray (Leading-Seaman), missing, presumed killed—Mr. R. S. Paterson, Kennington (father). Harnett, Edmund Saxelby (Able-Seaman), missing—Mrs. F. A. Kerr. Wellington (mother). Green. Sydney Clarence (Ordinary-Seaman), now dangerously ill as a result of being serious wounded, as previously reported— Mrs. E. E. Green, Wanganui (mother). AUCKLANDER KILLED AIRMAN POSTED MISSING Killed in action in the Middle East, Private Andrew Albert James Mitchell was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Mitchell, of 84 Beresford Street, Auck-
land. He was 24 years of age and was educated >at Napier Street school. For about six years he played Rugby League for the City Rovers Club. Advice has been received by Mrs. E. P. Stehr, of Swanson, that her son, Sergeant AValter Bryan Stehr, has been
reported missing on air operations. Sergeant Stehr was educated at the Kowhai High School and Seddon Memorial Technical College, and left for overseas last May. PRISONERS IN ITALY VATICAN RADIO BROADCAST Additional names of New Zealand soldiers who are prisoners of war in Concentration Camp No. 52, Posta Militaire, 3100, Italy, were broadcast bv the Vatican Radio, Rome, last night. Sneddon °6 Crovdon Road, Mount- Eden, Auckland:—"l am in touch with Jim, prisoner of war in Concentration Camp P.O. 52, P.M. 31 00. He is unwoundcd, well, and being treated excellently. I am t him and will be keening bim supplied with whatever I can. Get in touch with the Red Cross about sending parcels, socks, clothing, tobacco anu hooks and anything else yon can think of.
