NAVAL COMMISSIONS
EXAMINATION SUCCESSES (0.C.) _ HAMILTON, Friday Advice has been received by Mrs. R. P. Hazard, of Te Rapa, from her son, Sub-Lieutenant Douglas Hazard, who recently gained his commission in the Navy, that of the 75 ratings who sat for their commission at Lancing College,
nine were New Zealanders. Another Waikato rating, Sub-Lieutendnt Claude Belgrave, elder son of Mrs. M.. J. Belgrave, of Frankton, topped the examinations. Sub-Lieutenant Hazard was second, and another New Zealander gained third position.
