HOME FOR SOLDIERS' WIVES The fact that Hostess House, Papakura, had more than fulfilled its purpose and had been a real home to many soldiers' wives was stressed by Mrs. W. R. Wilson, chairman of the committee, at the annual meeting held in the house on Thursday. Mrs. Wilson said that relatives and fiancees of soldiers had travelled from all parts of the Dominion to stay at the house for varying periods. The chairman of the local committee, Mrs, H. C. Baulf, welcomed the members and visitors. . The annual report, presented by Mrs. E. J. Busing,, secretary of the local committee, stated that 1900 guests had stayed at the house and many had booked ahead.
