MR. NASH IN MELBOURNE
CONFERENCES CONTINUED JOURNEYING TO CANBERRA (Reed. 12.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 2(5 The New Zealand Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, spent the week-end in conferences with federal Ministers and service chiefs on various aspects of his mission, but the discussions have not yet reached a stage at which any pronouncement can be made. He will leave by train for Canberra to-morrow night to continue his discussions. Mr. Nash to-night delivered a national broadcast on New Zealand's war effort. To-morrow he will be entertained by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Mr. F. J. Beaurepaire, at a luncheon.
