Tho board was set up to relieve the No. 1 Board, based on Auckland, of all North Auckland cases, and, if necessary, it will also assist tho No. 2 Board, which has headquarters at Hamilton. , The North Auckland district for tho purposes of appeals extends to the approaches oi' Auckland, and for convenience a number of cases from the district are being heard in the city. The new board is under the chairmanship of Mr. G. I'. Fin lav, of Auckland. with Messrs. N. Hoirobin and A. ■I. Ma gee, of Whangarei. as members. Since it began hearings earlier in the month, the board has visited several North Auckland centres.
