MANUKAU COUNTY ROADS

Sir, —The Manurewa Town Hoard is to he congratulated on the excellent work it has done lor the ratepayers, bringing in the water (scheme, and the concrete paths which is a great credit to all who undertook this work. 'J he concrete paths are the best seen in the Dominion. Now, if the Manukau County Council would get. to work and do something for their ratepayers it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know why "gorse avenues" are allowed to grow ail • ver the place; highways are also very neglected. The car coming toward you pushes the loose metal to the right side and the other car coming behind pushes the remaining metal to the left side; the roads should be rolled. Wheil residents pay their rates they expect something in return.
