PORTRAITS OF PREMIERS SYDNEY, Oct. 15 So quickly hare Australian Prime Ministers changed that the official portrait painters have not been able to keep up with events. The gallery nt Federal Parliament House, where Prime Ministers' portraits are hung, is three portraits short. The painters are two and a-half Prime Ministers behind. The portrait of the August Prime Minister. Mr. Menzies, is half completed. The work is being done by Mr. Charles Wheeler, of Melbourne. The painting of the September Prime Minister, Mr. Fadden. has not yet been begun, but the young Melbourne artist Mr. W. A. Dargie lias been commissioned to do the work. Xo aitist. has yet been commissioned to paint the October Prime Minister, Mr. Curtin. The artists are chosen by the Commonwealth Historic Memorials Committee.
