LADY GALWAY GUILD

The Mayoress of Auckland, Mrs. J. A. C. Allum, accompanied by Miss B. E. Carnachan and Mrs. Svenson, visited the Takapuna branch of the Lady Galway Guild on Monday afternoon at the home of the president, Mrs. Claude Black. Mrs. Allum expressed her pleasure at the excellent display of work which had been completed within the last six weeks. It was stated that 1600 garments had been despatched to England since June. The Birkenhead Lady Galway Guild was visited by the Mayoress, Mrs. J. A. C. Allum, recently, Mrs. E. J. Osborne, Mayoress of Birkenhead, receiving her. It was stated that 900 garments had been forwarded to Yorkshire House since March.
