TRAIN DERAILMENT
As a result of the derailment of a meat waggon on a goods train near Shannon yesterday morning, passengers on the Auckland-Wellington limited express, which left Auckland at 7.15 on Sunday night, bad to be transhipped from Shannon to Levin. Clearing operations were immediately undertaken. Hotli the Wellington-Auckland expresses were nblo to go through unhindered.
