THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE DOMINION ISSUES SOUGHT A firm market ruled for New Zealand industrial shares on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when sellers quoted sparingly, but Australian issues remained easier. Turnover, however, was much below normal. Bank of New Zealands remained unchanged in the first testing of the market since the dividend announcement, but sellers made small concessions in insurance, South British shading 9d from their record price. The demand in gilt-edged securities was strong, and 3 per cent War Loan gained 5s to a new level at £97 15s.
