The last !<'rt.ures on the year's pyllahus of the Aii 1 liropolofiy and Maori Race Section ot the Auckland Institute and Mn.-emu were given last nigh: at the Auckland University College. Two paper- were read hy members of the War Memorial Museum staff, one hy Mr. V. K. Fisher on "Maori Canoe Portgages" and the other hy Mr. A. \V. H. Powell on "Name Changes in Zoology: Why?'' Later mem hens and visitors were entertained to supper.
