TENNIS CHAMPION DEAD
The death occurred recently in Auckland of Mr. C. C. Cox, formerly a New Zealand tennis champion, at the age of 66 years. Mr. Cox was well known in Canterbury tennis circles over -It) years ago and was associated with Anthony Wilding. He won the New Zealand championship in 1808 and in the same year won the Canterbury title. After returning from the Boer War he resided in Masterton and Dannevirke. winning the Wellington and Hawke's Bay championships. Ho represented New Zealand in matches in Australia.
