RIFLE CLUB'S RECORD
The fact that about 95 per cent of its members are giving: some form of military service was revealed at the annual meeting of the Akarana Defence Rifle Club. Twentyfive members are overseas with the Army, Navy and Air Force, others are instructors in military camps, and those over military age are in the snipers" company of the Home Guard. The balance-sheet showed a {rood financial position. Mr. T. G. Bryan was elected president with a strong committee. The retiring president, Mr. C. Harris, did not seek re-election oiwnsf. to nl-heaitn a vote of thanks to Mr. Harris for his serwces was recorded.
