TRAINING SOLDIERS
INSTRUCTORS IN CAMPS OVERSEAS MEN SUGGESTED fS.F.) _ WELLINGTON, Thursday "fn view of the fact that the appointment of an overseas brigadier as Chief of Staff has proved a popular appointment, will the Minister consider the question of bringing back a number of officers and non-commissioned officers, preferably from those who went away first, to act as instructors in the mobilisation and territorial camps?"' asked Mr. J. A. Roy (Opposition—Clutha) in the House of Representatives to-day in a question addressed to the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. ■ Mr. Roy said that many of the present instructors were anxious to go overseas, and instructors who had had practical experience in modern warfare would be of valuable help in training.
