OBITUARY
MRS. D. S. IRELAND The death has occurred of Mrs. D. S. Ireland, of Oneliunga. Mrs. Ireland was born on board the ship Ironsides 19 days before the vessel reached Auckland ill August. 1861. She was a daughter of the late Mr. William Kemp, who assisted in the erection of the old Shortland Street post ofliee in the early 'seventies, and in 1889 was the contractor for building the Church of the Assumption, Oneliunga, in which the first marriage was that Mr. and Mrs. Ireland -VJ years ago." After residing in Oneliunga for ft) years, Mrs. Ireland removed with her family to Grey Lynn. In 1918. they moved to Pollok Settlement, where they remained until three years ago. when, on Mr. Ireland's retirement, the family returned to Oneliunga. Mrs. Ireland is survived by her husband, four sons and three daughters. There are seven grandchildren
