INJUKED PLAYEKS J DONATION TO THE FUND The management committee of the Auckland Rugby League received last evening from the ladies' committee a donation of £25 for the injured players' fund. The chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, in acknowledging the gift, spoko most appreciatively of the work being performed by the ladies' committee. A letter of thanks was received from the Auckland centre of the Now Zealand Amateur Cycling Association for a donation of £1 Is toward the expenses of running its annual 100 miles road race championship. The junior control board advised that tho Otahuhu Club had won the third grade championship. It was decided that the Maori v. Pakeha match he played for the injured players' fund on September 20. The question of the curtailment of the senior championship competition, which if played right out will extend well into October, was discussed by the committee. In view of its interesting state, however, it was agreed that no action should be taken at present, but that the matter should be reviewed at a later meeting.
