The main purpose of the amendments' is to provide l<>r the enforcement of the provisions tinder which territorials and other members of the defence forces, including units of the National Military Reserve, can be called out for military service in defence of New Zealand, and also to impose on territorials and other members of the defence forces, including units of the Military Rosen - ?, and provide for the enforcement of further obligation to undergo suoli training as might be prescribed in armv orders.
Another portion of the regulations makes it an offence to fail to render military service or training required under the draft regulations, and persons who commit suHi offences are liable to
imprisonment for three months or to a fine not exceeding £'2s, and if the offence continues to a further fine of £6 a day.
