PATRIOTIC APPEAL
FINAL FIGURE OVER £ISOO With all the returns to hand, the amount realised from Friday's patriotio street appeal was over £iooo, which includes the returns from the sale of art union tickets. A total of £937 was raised by the actual collection, the remainder being* from art union tickets. An outstanding return on Friday wag made by Newmarket, where over £2BO was raised. The appeal was made by the building trades, fighting and publio services, and the drapery and boot* groups of the Fighters' Mother competition of the Fighting Forces Fund.'
