f by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Monday New Zealand has a special interest in the War Weapons Week of Faversham, East Kent, opened by tho Now Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, in that Sir Harry Batterbee, an old boy of . Faversham Grammar School, was referred to as Mr. Jordan's opposite number in New Zealand. The week resulted in £120,000 being raised, which, with £350,000 already contributed in national savings, represented £47 per head of tho town's population.
