PRESENTATION
The retirement of Mr. W. J. Nicholson ifrom tho Papatoetoe Town Board after almost 20 years' service was marked by a complimentary social tendered to him and Mrs. Ninholson by the board. For eight years Mr. Nicholson was chairman of tho board. A presentation of a silver tea and coffee service on n silver salver was made to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson by Mr. E. Hay, the present chairman of the board, on behalf of past and present board members and senior members of the staff. Other speakers were Mr. F. M. Waters, chairman of tho Manukau County Council, and Mr. T. R. Smytheman, a former chairman of the board.
