COW'S BLACKOUT
Possiblv with memories of the early days of tne war when ponies roaming in the New Forest in England were reported to have been marked to prevent them being run down by motorists, an Otahuhu farmer has adopted a similar plan with a cow. White stripes have been painted clearly on the animal's sides and they should, while the paint remains, make it distinguishable in the blackout.
