RUGBY LEAGUE DANCE

LADIES' SOCIAL COMMITTEE

The opening dance of the season, arranged by the Auckland Rugby League Ladies' Social Committee, was held at the Peter Pan Cabaret last night, and attracted a crowded attendance. The guests were received by Mr. Ivan Culpan, secretary of the Auckland Rugby League, and Mrs. Culpan, the latter wearing a draped frock of delphinium blue lace. Modern and old-time numbers alternated on an enjoyable programme. The prooeeds of the dance are to be divided between the injured players' fund and the slok benefit of the ladies' committee. The committee comprised*—Mrs. I. Stonex, Mrs. 0. Howe, Mr*. Chermside, Mrs. R. Doble and Mrs. A. Scott (secretary). Mr. Grey Campbell, chairman of the Auckland Rugby iLeague, was also present.
