VICTORIA LEAGUE
MAYORESSES ENTERTAINED The Mayoress of Auckland and the Mayoresses of t!ie Auckland boroughs were the guests of the Victoria League members at ten yesterday morning in tho league rooms. In the absence of tho president, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, the chairman, Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, welcomed the guests, who included the .Mayoress of Auckland, Mrs. J. A. C. Allum. Mrs. H J. White (Ellerslie), Mrs. H. A Anderson (Mount Albert), Mrs. S. Donaldson (Newmarket), Mrs. R. J. Mills (Mount Eden), Mrs. R. G. May (DevonporO. Mrs. J. Park (Onehunga), Mrs. E. J. Osborne (Hirkenhend), and Mrs. E. C. Fowler (Nort hcote). Replying on behalf of the guests. Mrs. Allum thanked the league members for their charming gesture in bringing all tho Mayoresses together. A brief musical programme arranged by Miss Ela Hutchinson was presented, after which tea was served.
