RESTRICTED LIGHTING
motor vehicle proposals
NEW RECOMMENDATIONS MADE
The fact, that the proposed vehicle lighting restrictions in Auckland had 1,,.,.,, considered and that recommendations liad been made to the Dominion |,Vhtin- controller, Mr. V. T. M. Kissel, was revealed yesterday by Mr. it. H. Hartley, the Auckland lighting controller. He said that, until it was known whether or not Mr. Kissel would accept the recommendations, Auckland drivers of passenger vehicles who were proposing to hold a meeting to discuss the restrictions would lie well advised to hold their hand. Mr. Hartley's statement followed an announcement by the secretary of the Auckland Drivers' Union,. Mr. L. G. Matthews, in the interests of public safety, drivers of buses proposed to consider the abolition of night driving.
