SOCCER IN CHINA
The organisation of the game of Soccer in China from the schools upwards is thorough, and much attention is paid to the training of the hoys. They have school and inter-school matches, with the League games as the aim of all young players. Games are played twice a week—on Saturdays and Sundays—and they attract large crowds. It is from the League sides thai the teams for international and other representative games are chosen. The Chinese consider that the standard of the game in their country, and particularly in Hongkong, is high, and their estimate is supported by the success tliat Ch'ttese teams have achieved at home and abroad The team now iri Australia is con sidered stronger than the one that visited that country arid Xew Zealand some year's ago. 1 he fact that it has had such success in Sydney, where the code is strongest in Australia, indicates that it will have a successful tour.
