BEGINNING THE DAY
(Supplied by the Council of Christian Congregations.) Text. —The Angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. Psalm xxxiv., 7. Prayer.—O Lord, Thou who are the helper of the helpless and the hope of the hopeless, wo humbly pray that we may recognise Thy presence and Thy power from day to day. Be Thou within us to strengthen us; outside of us to keep us; above us to protect us; beneath us to uphold us; before us to direct us; behind us t<> shield us; and round about us to deliver us. We thank Thee for all that is past and trust Thee for all that is to come. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
